Welcome to arbi. This policy describes how we handle information when you use our application to interact with your Tesla battery.

1. Overview of Data Collection

We believe in data minimization. arbi does not own, store on its own servers, or sell your personal information or Tesla battery data. Your data is used only to provide the app's functionality on your local device.

2. Tesla Authentication & Data Handling

This application uses Tesla’s Official Authentication (Tesla Login) to interact with your battery.

Login Process: When you log in, you are redirected to Tesla’s own secure servers. We never see, receive, or store your Tesla account password.
Data Ownership: Any battery data accessed (such as battery status, location, or climate settings) is retrieved directly from Tesla. Tesla handles your personal and battery data in accordance with the Tesla Privacy Notice.
Tokens: Upon successful login, the app receives a secure "token" to communicate with your system. This token is stored encrypted on your local machine and is never shared with us or any third parties.

3. Local & Secure Data Storage

Any preferences or battery settings you save within the app are stored locally on your device. Additionally, geocoding data (such as your location coordinates used for solar forecasting) is saved to your device's secure storage. Uninstalling the app will remove this locally secured data.

4. Third-Party Services

Except for the direct communication with Tesla's API as described above, arbi does not share your data with any other third-party services or advertisers.
