Setup & Security

A transparent guide to how arbi connects to your system and how to configure it.

How Connection Works

Step 1: Official Authentication

When you open arbi for the first time, you will be directed to Tesla's official secure login portal. You are entering your credentials directly into Tesla's servers, exactly as you do on the official app.

Step 2: Token Generation

Once Tesla verifies your identity, they send a secure "Access Token" back to arbi. arbi never sees, records, or transmits your password. The token is saved into your device's encrypted local storage.

Step 3: Serverless Operation

With the token secured, arbi communicates directly with the Tesla Fleet API. Because arbi is 100% serverless, there are no middleman cloud servers capturing your telemetry, location, or energy habits. Your data flows directly between your device and Tesla.

Initial App Setup

Once you are logged in, arbi will automatically take a snapshot of your current Tesla settings and store them as your default baseline.

Pro Tip: When you are on the main UI, simply double-tap the live energy window. The screen will instantly declutter, entering a sleek Viewing Mode that is perfect for dedicated, always-on monitoring screens.

Revoking Access

You remain in total control. You can revoke arbi's access at any time by simply changing your Tesla account password or revoking third-party app permissions within your official Tesla account dashboard. Doing so instantly invalidates the tokens stored on your device.
